Condition Grading
Every unit at Francis Retail is inspected before it's listed. Here's what each grade means, what cosmetic and functional state to expect, and which grades qualify for our change-of-mind return window.
Brand New
7-day change-of-mind + 48hr defect windowFactory sealed, unopened. No cosmetic damage to box or product.
New – Damaged Box
48hr defect window onlyFactory sealed product inside, but box has cosmetic damage (dents, tears, sticker residue). Product itself is untouched.
In Box – Like New
48hr defect window onlyOpened box, unused product. No cosmetic damage to product. Box may have minor wear.
Open Box – New
7-day change-of-mind + 48hr defect windowNo original box. Brand new product with protective wrappings still on. No damage.
Open Box – Like New
7-day change-of-mind + 48hr defect windowNo box. Product appears new with only minor cosmetic imperfections (light scratches, shipping scuffs). May have been refurbished by our team.
Open Box – Good
7-day change-of-mind + 48hr defect windowNo box. Fully functional with moderate cosmetic wear (scratches, small dents, scuffs).

Refurbished – Like New

As-Is / For Parts
Final sale — no returnsSold as is, with all faults. The entire risk as to quality and performance is with the buyer; if the item proves defective after purchase, the buyer assumes the entire cost of all servicing and repair.
What "inspected" means
For each unit we sell, our team verifies the cosmetic state matches the assigned grade, confirms key functions work where applicable, and notes any specific imperfections on the product page. When an inspection report is attached to a listing, it's signed and dated by the inspector. You're buying the exact unit described, not a generic stock photo of a different one.
